As usual, 40m CW played a big part of our score.

Wrapping up on Sunday morning, bored members fill a garbage bag with Helium and send it aloft. The sucker climbed till it was lost from view.

A local organization loaned us a crane from which to hang our 80 meter dipole.

Our local Chatham County Emergency Management Agency rep showed up (CEMA). Usually, the reps are middle aged guys. This was not the case on this occasion!

Great field day here running Class 5A in Savannah, Georgia. The generator ran all night without a hitch at our Southside Volunteer Fire Department command post for the Coastal Area Radio Society, club callsign K4NLX. We had, as our guests, members of the Amateur Radio Club of Savannah. It was nice for a change to have all the radios manned all night by our hard core members. The local news media even showed up twice, which was nice for a change - must have been a slow news weekend. We were also visited by local emergency management officials. The weather cooperated for a change as we did not get our usual severe thunderstorm on Saturday despite the predominant weather pattern for the previous few days. We operated all bands from 80-6m this year. We're looking forward to next year!
