Welcome to the C.A.R.S. weekly Sunday night 2-meter net. This is open to all amateurs who have 2-meter privileges and we invite everyone to check in with us. The purposes of this net are:
1. To familiarize all amateurs with network operation.
2. To keep us up to date with current events.
3. To build camaraderie among amateurs.
4. To increase public awareness of the benefits of amateur radio.
5. To provide an opportunity for you to make an announcement, comment, or ask a question.
6. And to list any equipment for swap or sale.
The Coastal Amateur Radio Society has three (3) open repeaters operating with a 100Hz tone. They are the 146.700-, 147.33+ and the 147.21+. C.A.R.S. meets at 7:00 PM on the first Tuesday of each month at the Southside Fire Department on White Bluff Road. Every Saturday morning from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, there is a breakfast gathering at Sunnyside Up on DeRenne Avenue. Everyone is welcome to come ask questions, or just socialize.
